Thanks to the efforts and arrangements made by the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, an online international workshop was held on "The Principles of the Islamic Financial System: An Evaluative and Comparative Approach" on 8 April 2024.

The workshop was administered by Dr Amir Khademalizadeh, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU).

Fundamentals and conceptual framework of Islamic Financial Economics, the context of the system, its status in the world today, and its advantages over the conventional financial system were among the major topics covered in the workshop.

The workshop was delivered in English and the audience was mainly faculty members and students from the Financial University of Moscow, Russia. 

Dr Mousa Abdollahi, Director of International Academic Cooperation, and Dr Narges Sanaei, Head of the Office for Developing International Academic Collaborations were among the main organisers participating in and coordinating the workshop.
