United Students of the SUN

About the Union:
USSUN consists in a body of students representing each member university of the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN) to serve as a generator of new dreams and ambitions in order to keep SUN young and lively. The body also serves as volunteers for providing assistance and relief work in disaster-affected regions by making use of their individual knowledge talent and skills.
In the summer of 2018, regarding active engagement of ATU, as a founding member, in annual activities of SUN and in order to assist SUN further in its yearly tasks, ATU and SUN concluded to transfer the Secretariat of United Students of SUN (USSUN) from the Secretariat of SUN located at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul, the Republic of Korea to Allameh Tabataba'i University, Tehran, Iran. The main purpose was to increase the agility of SUN by decentralizing its activities and engaging active members in routine tasks of SUN. Therefore, SUN coordinates the activities of USSUN with other secretariats of SUN such as UPSUN, IASS and all member universities in order to facilitate its operation.
The main responsibilities of the USSUN include:
- Increasing and organizing members of USSUN.
- Planning and organizing annual contests such as the PHOCOS (Photo Contest of SUN), the WRICOS (Writing Contest of SUN), the recently added contests of DECOS (Debate Contest of SUN), and the SRFF (Silk-Road Film Festival).
