According to the Allameh Tabataba'i News Agency (ATNA), as reported by the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation (DIAC), the 3rd General Assembly of the National Union of Student Scientific Associations in Law and Judicial Sciences convened on Sunday, 23 August 2026, at the Central Library Auditorium of Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU).

The gathering brought together university officials, ministry representatives, and student delegates from across the country. Key attendees included Mohammadreza Vijeh, Executive Deputy and Vice-President for Resource Development and Management at ATU; Hoda Ghaffari, Vice-President for Cultural and Social Affairs; Majidreza Momeni, Director of Social Affairs; and Saman Rahmani, Deputy Director-General for Cultural and Social Affairs at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Discussions during the assembly focused on enhancing closer nationwide collaboration among student associations, boosting student engagement, expanding skills-based academic initiatives, and empowering law students to play an active role in addressing contemporary legal issues.

The event also marked the conclusion of the union’s second term and the inauguration of its third term following general elections. Delegates representing 52 universities nationwide cast their ballots to elect 11 members to the Central Council, alongside one principal inspector and one alternate inspector to lead the union for the upcoming term.
