ATU Student Honored at the 32nd National Student Book of the Year Festival

Aryan Taheri, a student at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU), was recognized for his book Key Concepts in Media Economics at the closing ceremony of the 32nd National Student Book of the Year Festival.

The ceremony was organized by the Jihad University Organization for the Promotion of Study and Publishing and held at the Iran University of Science and Technology. Attended by Dr Gholamali Haddad-Adel, President of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, the event highlighted the vital role of books in scientific development and the importance of supporting student authors.

Aryan Taheri, a PhD student in Communications at ATU, received the award in the Humanities (Media and Communication) category for his book.

The book features translations of 54 entries from the International Encyclopedia of Communication. It is structured into four sections covering conceptual tools for economic thinking in media, legal and technological systems, business structures of media markets, and the cultural influence of media economics. Taheri had previously been recognized at the 16th National Student Thesis Festival.

Additionally, Fatemeh-Sadat Homayouni, a staff member at ATU’s Vice-Presidency for Research, was honored in the Social Sciences category for her translation of the book Economic Sociology. Homayouni, who is also a doctoral student, was previously a recipient of the Professor Hessabi Award in 2018.
