ATU signs MoU with Ufa University of Science and Technology

On the sidelines of the Seventh Summit of the Presidents of Leading Universities of Iran and Russia, recently hosted by the University of Tehran, Allameh Tabataba'i University and Ufa University of Science and Technology of Russia signed an MoU aimed at strengthening bilateral academic relations between the two countries’ top universities. The MoU was signed by Dr Shoja Ahmadvand, Acting President at ATU, and Dr Vadim Zakharov, Rector of Ufa University of Science and Technology.
Dr Narges Sanaei, Head of the Office for Developing International Academic Collaborations at ATU, stated that the signed MoU emphasizes the need to implement bilateral academic and research agreements and to elevate them to the level of formal cooperation documents.
Moreover, referring to the history of academic collaborations between ATU and Ufa University of Science and Technology, she highlighted the joint online degree program in International Relations, co-administered by faculty members from both universities in English, as a key example of their practical academic cooperation.
Sanaei then announced that, starting from the current academic semester, faculty members from the ECO College of Insurance have also commenced online teaching in the program. She expressed hope that these collaborations would expand significantly across various levels.
It is noteworthy that Ufa University of Science and Technology, located in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, is a comprehensive university and ranks among the top five largest universities in Russia. Founded nearly a century ago as Ufa State University, it currently has approximately 50,000 students enrolled in various academic programs.
