To develop scientific and research cooperation and enhance the role of academia in the Iranian legislative processes, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and the Islamic Parliament Research Centre (IPRC).
Following recent joint scientific interactions between ATU and the IPRC, including the organization of specialized problem-solving sessions and the provision of joint policy recommendations, this agreement was concluded to further expand research and academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The MOU was signed by Dr Shoja Ahmadvand, ATU President, and Dr Babak Negahdari, Head of the Islamic Parliament Research Centre.
Under the provisions of the agreement, the two parties will collaborate to establish a joint think tank. This initiative aims to provide scientific analysis and policy recommendations to various parliamentary commissions, thereby taking an effective step toward enhancing the quality of the Parliament's dual mandates of legislation and oversight.
