Universities are the best place for provoking original thoughts and constructive criticism, addressing serious questions, and developing problem-solving techniques, the president of the university said in “the Third Harkat Festival”. He also mentioned that student activities should be conducted in peaceful and lively settings and emphasized that political activities are the bane of student associations.
The university’s new vice-president for education, Nader Ne’matollahi, described new educational policies. He elaborated on decentralizing authority to faculties and departments, facilitating the promotion of academic staff, improving education quality, providing new educational facilities, developing new undergraduate and graduate programs, and fostering the university’s international relations. He added that all suggestions are warmly welcomed.
