Following the memorandum of understanding signed between ATU and Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), the two institutes held a series of workshops in ATU on the topics of linguistics and literature.

Tuesday and Wednesday, the 2nd and 3rd of October, ATU Spanish Department had meetings with officials from Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

Following the memorandum of understanding signed between ATU and UCM, the two institutes had a series of meetings in ATU. The first day of the sessions was held, in English, on the subject of linguistics with the presence of Dr Margarita, Associate Professor of Linguistics at UCM; Dr Monshizadeh, Head of the Linguistics Department at ATU; and a number of professors and students from ATU.

On the second day, held in Spanish, discussions took place on the title of Spanish Literature, where Dr Jose Ignacio, Faculty Member and Head of the UCM Language Learning Centre, addressed the participants on a new perspective in the analysis of literature. The third session was presented by Dr Javier Ferrero from UCM. During this session, a number of topics on linguistics were presented and practised. The session concluded with the UCM members clarifying the admission process and details at their institute and the various programmes offered in UCM and other Spanish universities.
