On the evening of Thursday, 1 May 2025, Dr Mandana Tisheyar, Vice President for Research at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU), along with Mr AmirSaeed Karami, Iran's Cultural Attaché in Uzbekistan, met and held discussions with Gulchehra Rikhsieva, Rector of Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and professors from the Iranian Studies department.
During the meeting, areas of cooperation were agreed upon, including holding advanced training courses specifically for Persian language instructors, accepting students from both universities for short and long-term programs, and dispatching professors from ATU to conduct workshops in various fields.
In this meeting, Tisheyar emphasized the importance of conducting joint academic research between professors of the two universities and announced ATU's readiness to cooperate with Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies in establishing a network of academic and cultural collaborations across the Nowruz sphere.
Rikhsieva also highlighted the history of partnerships between the two universities in previous years and emphasized the importance of cooperating in various fields of humanities and social sciences with ATU.
At the end of the meeting, a visit was made to the Iranian Studies department, and discussions were held with the professors of this department to expand academic cooperation.
