The Journal of Mathematics and Modeling in Finance (JMMF)—published under the auspices of the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer at Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU)—has been indexed with a Q4 rank in the prestigious Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) portal.

JMMF is a specialised and reputable academic journal, established by the Centre of Excellence in Financial Mathematics at Allameh Tabataba’i University with the aim of promoting cutting-edge research and facilitating global open access to scholarly findings. The journal is published open access.

It is a biannual electronic journal focusing on articles in areas such as computational mathematics, financial modeling, differential equations, and machine learning in finance. Notably, this accomplishment follows the journal’s successful indexing in Scopus last year.

The journal is also supported by the Iranian Association of Islamic Finance (IAIF) based on an academic cooperation agreement. Furthermore, JMMF is listed among the journals indexed by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, affirming its high academic standards.

Indexing in Scopus marked a significant milestone in the journal’s mission to advance research in the field of financial mathematics. The journal’s success in achieving recognition and indexing signifies a major step toward positioning Allameh Tabataba’i University as a leading institute in the field of financial mathematics.

It is worth noting that the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) is one of the world’s most credible platforms for evaluating the academic standing of journals, supported by the Scopus database. SJR measures the scientific influence of academic journals based not only on the number of citations but also on the importance and prestige of the citing sources. Unlike conventional impact factors, which merely count citations, the SJR indicator assesses both the quantity and quality of references—making it a more rigorous and authoritative metric for evaluating journal impact.
