Specialized Session on “An Hour with Houshang Moradi Kermani” Held in ATU

A specialized session entitled “An Hour with Houshang Moradi Kermani” was held in the Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages, with the presence of Ms Caroline Kroskery, translator of his works into English.

The session was held on Monday, 31 October 2016, thanks to the efforts of ATU's Center for Research in Translation Studies, with the presence of Mr Houshang Moradi Kermani, the famous Persian author and permanent member of the Persian Academy of Language and Literature; Ms Caroline Kroskery, his translator; and Mr Afshin Shahneh, publisher of Kermani's works participated, as well as students and professors from universities of Tehran. The session continued with reciting some pieces of Kermani's writings, both in Persian and English.

Houshang Moradi Kermani is an eminent Persian literary author best known for his children's fiction, including the Tales of Majid (Ghesseh-ha-ye Madjid); The Boot (Chakmeh); The Palm (Nakhl); The Tale of That Vat (Dastan-e an khomreh); The Cruise (Kouzeh); Mommy’s Guest (Mehman-e Maman); Fist on Hide (Mosht bar Poust); and Believe It or Not (Shoma ke Gharibe Nistid).
