Dr Erik Coenen Holds Four-Day Workshops in ATU

Dr Erik Coenen, from the Complutense University of Madrid, delivered speeches and held workshops in ATU.
To implement the MoU signed between ATU and Complutense University of Madrid (CUM), Dr Erik Coenen, Associate Professor of the CUM Department of Spanish Linguistics and Literary Theory, visited ATU to deliver a number of speeches and held a four-day workshop in ATU Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages. In the workshops held on the 2nd and 6th of March 2019, Dr Coenen addressed the English Language and Literature students about Shakespeare and his literature, where he analysed the various themes and dramatic features of the plays Richard III and Julius Caesar. In the other two workshops held on the 3rd and 4th of March in the ATU Spanish Department, Dr Coenen spoke about Sonetos and the literary works of Borges. During these workshops, participants had fruitful discussions on the various aspects of English and Spanish literature. Dr Coenen teaches Spanish language and literary theory at the Complutense University of Madrid.
