Mirushe Hoxha from Greece Speaks at ATU

Dr Mirushe Hoxha, a full professor of linguistics at SS Cyril and Methodius University of Macedonia, attended Allameh Tabataba'i University Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages and delivered a speech on the characteristics of the languages of the Balkan area.
At this session which was attended by a number of students and lecturers, Dr Mohammad Dabir-Moghaddam, a full professor of Linguistics at ATU, introduced Dr Hoxha and her research background and interests.
Subsequently, Dr Hoxha, in her speech entitled "Linguistics of the Balkan Region," referred to the linguistic characteristics of the languages commonly used in the region and said: "The Balkan languages belong to different language families, although they have a number of common features. She also addressed topics such as linguistic structures in the languages of the Balkans and finally concluded her speech by answering the audience's questions. Dr Hoxha is a full professor of linguistics at SS Cyril and Methodius University of Macedonia and currently spends her sabbatical at ATU.
