A Memorandum of Understanding on academic cooperation was signed between Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and Tehran Regional Arbitration Centre (TRAC) on 17 January 2017.

Given the importance of the interactions between universities and the executive organs, and using the scientific and administrative potentials of the two, an MoU was signed by Dr Hamidreza Oloumiyazdi, Vice-President for Research at ATU, and Dr Oveis Rezvanian, Director of the TRAC. The MoU was signed with the aim of preparing the gound for the cooperation of the two institutes in such fields as exchanging academic and research best practices; planning and collaborating for holding international arbitration internship programmes/courses for ATU students in TRAC; doing joint research projects; writing and translating books and publishing articles in the field; providing academic and research counselling services in the related fields; granting financial support to Masters and PhD theses; establishing an English journal in International Arbitration; cooperation in the establishment and development of a Judicial Rights Clinic; and the like.
