Student teams from ATU Department of Social Work go to help the Kermanshah Earthquake victims, Dr Zahedi Asl says.

Head of the Social Work Department, Dr Mohammad Zahedi Asl, breaks news on the students' initiatives to step up to help the victims of the quake shaking Kermanshah few days ago. This humanitarian movement was also supported by ATU Vice-Presidency for Student Affairs and the Social Work Student Association. In this phase, thirty students have volunteered to go to Kermanshah.

Zahedi Asl then pointed to the importance of the social workers' presence in the times of such natural disasters and the necessity of their participation in expressing sympathy for and identifying the victims requiring social work and support. Headed by a number of faculty members, the student team from ATU travelled to Kermanshah on the Afternoon of 14 November 2017, taking the collected cash and some essential commodities for the victims.
