University of Bordeaux Montaigne Representative Visits ATU

A Bordeaux Montaigne University representative, coming to ATU for holding a workshop, had a visit to ATU Central Campus and met Director of International Academic Cooperation.
Dr Marylis Paulie, Faculty Member and Head of the Laboratory for Research in Women's Literature at Bordeaux Montaigne University (BMU), invited to hold a workshop on Literary Transliteration, Meditation, Mythology and Practice, had a visit to ATU Central Campus and met Dr Mandana Tishehyar, Director of International Academic Cooperation on Monday, 6 November 2017.
In this meeting, Dr Paulie expressed her satisfaction with travelling to Iran, becoming familiar with ATU professors and students, and holding the Workshop in ATU. Dr Tishehyar, Director of International Academic Cooperation then introduced ATU's international activities, pointed to the memorandum of understanding signed with BMU, and described the cooperation just beginning between the two institutes and negotiated with Dr Paulie about the exchange of professors and students and and establishing joint courses.
Afterwards, the participants discussed the establishment of a Master’s Degree Programme on French Translation. Dr Paulie also pointed to the possibility of holding joint PhD courses, so the students can benefit from supervisors and advisors from the two institutes for their dissertations. At the end, Dr Tishehyar expressed ATU's willingness to send PhD students of Teaching Persian Language to UBM to spend their sabbaticals there while teaching Persian in UBM's Persian courses.
