A Turk Delegation Visits ECOI

Dr Cuneyt Akalin, a professor emeritus from Ankara University, Turkey, with a delegation of Turkish officials had a visit to ATU's ECO College of Insurance (ECOI).

Dr Akalin who had come to Tehran on the occasion of Tehran International Book Fair, delivered a speech at ECOI and had fruitful talks with students and faculty. He pointed to the affinities of Iran and Turkey, and introduced Turkey's west-ward orientation in its policies as its main weakness. Regarding the relations between Iran and Ankara, Akalin said that Turkey is seeking for grounds to have mutual relations with Iran. He introduced the US as one of the obstacles in the way of Tehran-Ankara relations and added that: "The US is opposed to the relations between Iran and Turkey and is trying to distance Turkey from Iran." He then maintained that he is opposed to all types of dictatorship and has continuously warned Erdogan against individualism.
