Commercialization of Humanities Ideas is a top priority for ATU Science and Technology Park,

Highlighting the park's achievements over the past year, the President of the Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) Science and Technology Park stated that developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the humanities, supporting students' knowledge-based ideas, and strengthening the activities of companies operating within the incubator have been among the park's primary priorities.

According to ATU's Public Relations office, Dr Dariush Salimi, President of the Science and Technology Park, detailed the Park's performance over the past year, stating: "As a specialized science and technology park in the humanities, ATU's Science and Technology Park has endeavored to activate existing capacities in entrepreneurship, innovation, and the commercialization of knowledge-based ideas over the past two years since receiving its official license."

Referring to the Park's structure, Dr Salimi added: "This center consists of two primary divisions: the entrepreneurship sector—which focuses on training, organizing boot camps, and engaging with students—and the incubator and park complex, which hosts companies and supports developing ideas."

He highlighted the "For Iran" event as one of the key initiatives of the past year and stated: "Following challenging conditions and difficulties faced by businesses, this event was designed and executed with the aim of gathering startup ideas from students nationwide to facilitate citizens' lives and support businesses during times of potential crisis or internet disruptions."

The President of the ATU Science and Technology Park noted other programs implemented over the past year, adding: "The park's achievements included organizing business training boot camps, launching the first innovation game for students, conducting two internship-quality enhancement courses in the fields of human resources and public relations, holding experience-sharing sessions featuring companies resilient during crises, and designing a framework to assess students' vocational and entrepreneurial capabilities."

He continued: "Around 50 companies currently operate within the park’s incubator. Efforts are being made to strengthen their connections with the university, particularly through providing services to students and facilitating the entry of Allameh Tabataba'i University students into the job market." Dr Salimi also mentioned infrastructural achievements from the past year, such as establishing an Innovation and Prosperity Fund, designing the secretariat for the nationwide university Innovation and Prosperity Funds, and collecting and organizing corporate data.

Emphasizing that the primary objective of this center is to support knowledge-based ideas and assist in translating them into wealth, Dr Salimi said: "Over the past year, we have pursued the administrative structuring of the park, infrastructure development, leveraging tax exemptions provided by the Production Leap Law, and planning the establishment of ATU's Campus Two Incubator in collaboration with Mobarakeh Steel Company."

Inviting students and faculty members to participate in the Park’s programs and present innovative ideas, the President of ATU's Science and Technology Park added: "Today, we must generate ideas for the future development of the country. The ATU Science and Technology Park is prepared to support commercializable initiatives in the humanities by providing physical space, educational support, consulting services, and financial assistance."
