ATU to host specialized chair on “The Evolutionary Process in the History of International Relations”

The session will feature a presentation by Dr Hossein Salimi, Full Professor in the Department of International Relations at Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU), who will outline his theoretical framework on the long-term evolutionary dynamics that have shaped the global order.
A distinguished panel of critics will also provide rigorous scholarly evaluations of the arguments presented. The critics include:

- Dr Gholamreza Karimi, Associate Professor, Kharazmi University
- Dr Asghar Keivan Hosseini, Full Professor, Allameh Tabataba’i University
- Dr Rouhollah Talebi Arani, Assistant Professor, Shahid Beheshti University
The academic assessment will be further enriched by a panel of adjudicators comprising leading figures in the field:
- Dr Ebrahim Mottaghi, Full Professor, University of Tehran
- Dr Seyed Kazem Sajjadpour, Full Professor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Dr Masoud Mousavi Shafaee, Full Professor, Tarbiat Modares University
- Dr Shahram Yousefifar, Full Professor, University of Tehran
- Dr Jalal Derakhsheh, Full Professor, Imam Sadiq University
Dr Asghar Keivan Hosseini will serve as the session chair, guiding the discussions, while Dr Saeedeh Saeedi will oversee the proceedings on behalf of the Board of Support for Theorization, Critique and Debate Chairs.
The specialized chair session will take place on Wednesday 10 June 2026, at 16:00, at the Peace Hall of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, located on the Central Campus of Allameh Tabataba’i University. The event reflects the university’s continuing commitment to strengthening critical scholarly discourse on foundational concepts in international relations.
