Specialised workshop in AI Revolution in Academic Journals held at ATU

A specialized workshop titled "The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Journal Management" was held at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) to enhance the professional skills of those working in the field of academic publishing. This specialized workshop was organized by ATU Press, in collaboration with the Directorate for Planning, Budget, and Organizational Development at ATU.
The workshop aimed to update knowledge and skills within the publishing sector. Its primary objective was to empower managing directors, editors-in-chief, editorial board members, and journal staff to utilize emerging AI technologies and familiarize themselves with the latest digital tools for the production, editing, and dissemination of scientific content.
Key topics addressed during the session included the fundamentals of AI and its role in academic journals; key applications of AI in content creation, editing, and translation; an introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs); and techniques for effective interaction with AI, including prompt engineering.
Furthermore, the practical application of AI in research and scientific writing, along with discussions on quality control, ethical principles, and the process of AI-assisted smart peer review, constituted other significant components of this three-hour session.
