ATU students shine in the SUN International Contests
Report by the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation–
According to the news published by the Silk Road Universities Network (SUN), in the 2024 round of the PHOCOS (Photography Contest) and WRICOS (writing Contests, covering both poetry and essays), four students from Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) shined.
In the photography contest, the following three students received awards: Saman Khodayari, a PhD candidate in Communication Science received the Excellence Award; Rayeheh Ramezani, another PhD candidate in Media Management, earned the Special Citation award; and Shadi Khodayari, an MA student in Public Relations, was awarded the Citation award.
In the writing category, Latifeh Sakhi, an MA student in Regional Studies at the ECO College of Insurance, received the Excellence award.
The winners will be honoured at the 9th General Assembly of the SUN, scheduled to take place 11–15 November 2024 at the University of Naples, Italy.
The SUN, which includes 81 universities across 27 countries, hosts annual events to revive the cultural spirit of the ancient Silk Road and enhance academic collaborations among member states.
