Lorenzo Vigotti from University of Bologna visits ATU

On Wednesday, 9 October 2024, Professor Lorenzo Vigotti from the Department of Arts, University of Bologna, Italy, had a visit to the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU).
On this visit, also attended by faculty members from ATU Departments of Urban Planning, Urban Development, and History, the parties discussed the various grounds for the cooperation of the two universities in the areas of urban planning and history.
The parties also agreed to plan for the signature and exchange of an MoU between ATU and the Univerity of Bologna on academic partnerships.
Lorenzo holds a PhD in architectural history from Columbia University, New York, and as a post-doc fellow at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz, he studies the shift in spatial organization in domestic residences between the 14th and the 15th centuries. He is also coordinating a project entitled "DOMES-Architectural Technology Transfer on the Silk Road," in partnership with the University of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti University.
