Russian Language Department organises two international workshops

The Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, in collaboration with the Russian Language Department and the Vice Dean's Office for Research Affairs at the Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages, organised two workshops in late November 2023 entitled "Linguistic features in the translation of prose and poetry texts from Persian to Russian".

Dr Mastura Ahmadova, Associate Professor at the Department of Persian Language and Literature, Kazan Federal University, administered these workshops, and the workshops were convened at the Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages, Allameh Tabataba'i University.

The workshops aimed to provide an opportunity for Russian language students to enjoy the materials delivered by a distinguished Russian lecturer. During the sessions, students were exposed to theoretical and practical aspects of translating prose and poetic texts from Persian into Russian. Dr Ahmadova, a prominent professor of Persian language and literature and a member of the Iranian studies Department at Kazan Federal University, has published numerous articles and volumes of translated and original books in the fields of contemporary Persian prose and poetry.
