ATU makes its debut in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings

According to the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR), Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) achieved a global ranking of 1206th. In this round of ranking competitions, ATU is placed 53rd among Iranian universities, surpassing Bu-Ali Sina University, University of Guilan, Kharazmi University, Semnan University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, and Alzahra University.

Sharif University of Technology, Amir Kabir University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, University of Tehran, and Babol Noshirvani University of Technology are the top five universities in Iran according to these rankings.

This year, 75 Iranian universities participated in THE WUR. Out of these, 73 received rankings while two were designated as "Reporter" universities. It is worth mentioning that ATU, being the only Iranian university specializing in the Humanities and Social Sciences, participated in THE WUR for the first time.
