Report by the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation

On 5 and 6 July 2023, Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) will be host to over 12,000 candidates. The examinees are going to compete in the national university entrance exam called Konkur (derived from the French word "Concours").

In this regard, ATU has made all necessary arrangements with the Traffic Police, Power Department, and other authorities at Region 22 of Tehran to allow for a regular organisation of this major national event.

Concours is a scientific competition held once or twice a year at the national level, and candidates from all over Iran compete for winning admission into Public universities in Iran. Students who manage to obtain down to a special rank are allowed to study free of charge at Bachelor's level and receive all other benefits, including free dorm, food, library services, etc. Similar Concour competitions are also held annually at Master's and PhD levels.
