Series of workshops held by Mohajer Centre for Immigrant Mental Health

Mohajer Center for Immigrant Mental Health, in cooperation with the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation at Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU), has been organising a series of workshops on Afghan Immigrants' Mental Health since 1 May 2023.
Mainly centred on various aspects of psychology, education and counselling, the workshops are held for Afghan immigrants living in Iran. The Mohajer Centre is co-organising the workshops with ATU, Tehran and Qom Municipalities, and the Foreign Nationals and Immigrant Affairs Departments of Qom and Tehran.
Based on the agreement signed between ATU and Mohajer Centre, these workshops are held to empower Afghan immigrants and provide them with counselling and psychological education services.
Titles of the seven workshops being organised in May 2023 are as follows:

- Premarital Skills
- Communication Skills in Families
- Stress Management Skills in Adolescents
- Effective Communication Skills
- Art of Conversation in Families
"Mohajer Centre for Immigrant Mental Health" is the first specialised centre in Iran providing counselling and psychological services to Afghan immigrants. Thanks to its partnerships with and supports from Allameh Tabataba'i University, the Health Department of Tehran Municipality, and the Scientific-Cultural Centre for Afghan Elites, the Centre started its activities in 2018 in District 20 of Tehran Municipality. Since then, it has expanded its geographical scope, and its branches have opened in Qom (in 2020) and Mashhad (in 2023).
