International Workshop in “Guidelines and Requirements for Writing and Publishing Research in English” held at ATU

On Tuesday, 7 March 2023, the international workshop in “Guidelines and Requirements for Writing and Publishing Research in English” was held at the Central Library and Documentation Centre, Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU). In this 4-hour workshop, Dr Masoumeh Estaji, Associate Professor of English Language and Literature, delivered informative contents on the topic. Planned and organised by the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, the workshop was held in the form of a "Knowledge Enhancement" event for faculty members at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Faculty of Communication Sciences, and Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies.
Techniques to choose the right topic and find a right journal, the process of writing different parts of a manuscript, and the optimal ways to register and publish articles in internationally reputable journals were among the topics discussed in the event.
This workshop was the first of a series of Knowledge Enhancement Workshops planned to be held for university professors in the area of writing and publication of international articles.
The number of international research publications is a majror indicator in academic rankings. Accordingly, the Vice-Presidency for Research of the university in partnership with the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, have planned to hold research workshops for professors and postgraduate students with the aim of improving their international research competence and refresh their knowledge about the latest methods to publish manuscripts in international journals.
