ATU signs MoU with IUP

On 26 December 2022, Dr Alireza Soudmand-Afshar, President of the Institute for Academic Publications (IUP), had a visit to ATU and met Dr Abdollah Motamedi, ATU President, Dr Davoud Hosseinpour, Vice-President for Research, and other officials from ATU.
At this meeting, which was held with the aim of expanding applied and academic partnerships, the two parties agreed to cooperate in the publication of academic objects, removing the shortages in academic materials, and turning the Persian language into a Language of Science throughout the world.
Providing a brief overview of the institute, President of IUP said that the institute was committed to publishing quality books to be used by academics, and added, "the IUP has so far published 35 dictionaries in various areas of science."
ATU President, Dr Abdollah Motamedi, then pointed to ATU's age-old Print and Publishing Centre and hoped that the present MoU and future partnerships between the two parties will expand the productivity of the Centre.
Dr Davoud Hosseinpour, ATU's Vice-President for Research, then maintained that ATU Press, working under his Vice-Presidency, was concentrated on motivating the academics to publish quality, lasting, and influential books published locally, translated internationally, and used as resource books at the academia.
The session was concluded with the signature of an MoU on academic cooperation between ATU and IUP. IUP is affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) and primarily deals with the publication of academic books and materials.
