ATU Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages (PLFL) held an international session during the organization of the "Parallel Looks" Photography Exhibition on 12 November 2016.
In this session, organized in ATU in partnership with the University of Complutense and the Three Cultures Centre (Spain), the artistic works by Iranian and Spanish women photographers were discussed and analyzed. The works of these photographers were showcased in an exhibition in the Rah-e Abrisham (Silk Road) Gallery.
The session was held with the presence of Mr Carlos Aragon, the Cultural Attaché of Spain to Tehran; Head of the Three Cultures Centre; Dr Sara Fernandez, a faculty member from Complutense University; Dr Najmeh Shobeiri, Head of ATU Spanish Department; and six women-photographers from Spain. Dr Shobeiri pointed to the previous interactions and exchanges between Iran and Spain and described art as a suitable portal through which different cultures can be reflected.
