Professor Motamedi talks on academics' role in Jihad of Tabyin

On 5 March 2022, Professor Abdollah Motamedi, ATU President, attended the event organised in Fars News Agency and delivered a speech on the role of academics in the recently popular topic of the Jihad of Tabyin.

Pointing to the recent emphasis laid on the concept of the Jihad of Tabyin (literally meaning the [ethical and spirital] "struggle to explain/clarify [unknown facts]") by Ayatollah Khamenei, the IR Iran's Supreme Leader, Dr Motamedi maintained that the key to this goal is in the hands of the young generation. He added that the youth should be acquainted with the country's real progress and achievements.

He then highlighted the Islamic Revolution as the major capacity for the Jihad of Tabyin and emphasised that the Islamic Revolution itself needs explanation and clarification, as it has disturbed all equations throughout the world. "The logic of the Islamic Revolution is in harmony with human beings' nature, and this is one of the achievements of the Islamic Revolution which has to be explained," Professor Motamedi concluded.

It should be noted that Ayatollah Khamenei had raised the idea of "Jihad of Tabyin" in his speech delivered on 8 February 2022. In his speech, he addressed a group of Iranian Army's Air Force and Air Defence commanders, saying that "Today, countering the enemy's aggression to distort the Islamic Revolution's realities, achievements, progress, and epic actions requires a defensive move and synthetic conflict centred on the immediate and definite duty of the Jihad of Tabyin."
