MoU signed with National Autonomous University of Nicaragua

In the session held on 24 January 2022, Professor Abdollah Motamedi, ATU President, met with the Rector of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN), Professor Ramona Rodríguez Pérez, and the Ambassador of Nicaragua to Tehran, Mr Isaac Lenin Bravo.

The session was held in the ATU President's office with the presence of the Nicaraguan Ambassador, Head of ATU's Spanish Department, representatives from the Directorate for International Academic Cooperation, Iran's ambassador to Nicaragua, and the UNAN Rector. In this event, the UNAN Rector and the Iranian Ambassador to Nicaragua participated in the event online.

Professor Motamedi pointed to the good relations between the two countries on various grounds and added that they could expand relations in the academic area as well. The ambassador of Nicaragua then said that the two countries have experienced great revolutions and both revolutions have occurred in the same year. He then hoped that the two universities expand their academic ties based on the social commonalities between the two countries.
