Georgia's Cultural Counsellor in Tehran visits ATU
On 14 November 2021, the Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Georgia in Tehran visited Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and discussed the available ground for academic cooperation between universities in Iran and Georgia.
In this session, Professor Seyed Jalal Dehghani Firoozabadi, ATU's Vice-President for Research, pointed to the MoU signed with the Tbilisi State University and the cooperation between the two institutes in the form of two workshops held on the topic of Georgian Language and workshops in the comparative analysis of Georgian and Persian literatures. He then claimed that there are possibilities for academic cooperation and hoped that ATU would develop its ties with the universities in Georgia.
The Cultural Counsellor of the Georgian Embassy in Tehran then talked about the extensive cultural and historical ties between the Iranian and Georgian nations and pointed the vital role played by universities in strengthening the academic and social relations between the two societies. He then appreciated ATU's efforts in developing academic cooperation at regional and international levels, especially with Georgian universities and said that the Embassy of Georgia is prepared to cooperate in facilitating the expansion of academic relations between the universities in the two countries.
