Directorate for International Academic Cooperation—
Ms Marzieh Razavi, a PhD candidate at ATU Department of Linguistics, taught a series of courses in the Eurasian National University (ENU) from September 2020 to January 2021.
Following the memorandum of understanding signed and exchanged between ATU and the Eurasian National University (ENU), Ms Marzieh Razavi, a PhD candidate in Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages (TPSOL), ATU's Department of Linguistics, taught Persian Language in the ENU Department of Oriental Studies, Faculty of International Relations, from September 2020 to January 2021. It was the second year that students from ATU taught courses at ENU.
This cooperation was conducted with the aim of the advancement of ATU's international goals and activities, and strengthening the bilateral relations between the two institutes. Through these collaborations, ENU students have the opportunity to enjoy quality teachings by native Persian teachers who are also seeking postgraduate degrees in TPSOL.
The teaching was first conducted in person but, due to the Covid-19 limitations, the class sessions were continued online. Students' satisfaction with the instructor's teaching methods, especially the use of various educational resources and providing many opportunities for active participation of students in activities inside and outside the classroom, were among the most important achievements of this event.
Participation in an International Conference held in ENU and publication of joint articles with a Persian Language lecturer at ENU's Department of Oriental Studies are among the other achievements obtained by Ms Razavi.
ENU is a Kazakh national research university and the largest higher education institute in Nur-Sultan. Founded in 1996, ENU provides undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and military science.
