Online session held between ATU and JISU presidents

On 21 September 2020, presidents of Allameh Tabataba"i University (ATU) and Jilian International Studies University (JISU) had an online session and agreed on further collaborations.

Thanks to the efforts made by Dr Abbasali Vafaei, faculty member at ATU and the Cultural Attache at Iranian Embassy in Beijing, Professor Hossein Salimi and President Qin He, Presidents of ATU and JISU had an online meeting and discussed common grounds for cooperation of the two institutes.

In this session, the parties agreed on the establishment of an Iranian Studies centre in JISU; implementing joint international projects in the area of Silk and Road Iniatiative; exchanging students and faculty members in Persian and Chinese Languages; holding online joint courses; granting scholarships to ATU students and tuition discounts to JISU students; and participation of JISU students in ATU#39s Centre for Teaching Persian to Speakers of Other Languages (TPSOL).

In the session, the Presidents talked about the importance of expanding relations between the two Asian civilisations through academic activities.
