ATU Faculty Member Is Awarded on Translators National Day

In a ceremony held on 28 September, 2016 in the Rouh al-Amini Hall, Negarestan Garden (Tehran), on the occasion of the Second Anniversary of the National Day of Translators, Dr Najmeh Shobeiri, Faculty Member at ATU Department of Spanish, was awarded for her valuable translations. She appreciated the organization of such ceremonies and said: "European authors are revered much by their their states; we have to pay 25 Euros just to enter Victor Hugos house, while in Iran there are few people who come to our famous authors funerals!"

Najmeh Shobeiri is Head of ATU Department of Spanish and a Faculty Member at the same Department. She has translated various literary works of Spanish Literature into Persian, including Cervantes Don Quixote; Miguel de Unamunos La tia Tula‬; Jorge Luis Borges ‭Cartas del fervor; and Ramon Jose ‎Senders Requiem por un campesino espanol, etc.
