New postgraduate programmes in Health Communication to be offered in ATU

In a session held between the CEOs of Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, a memorandum of understanding was signed and the parties agreed on the establishment of joint degree programmes in Health Communication.

In a session held on Wednesday, 29 July 2020 between the Presidents of Allameh Tabataba'i University (ATU) and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMS), a memorandum of understanding was signed and the parties agreed on the establishment of joint degree programmes in Health Communication.

The partnership aims at addressing the issues related to the Coronavirus through bridging the gap between the Humanities and Medical Sciences.
Thanks to the MoU, the universities, with one being rooted in Humanities and Social Sciences and the other focused on Health and Medicine, are going to cooperate in such areas as joint degree programmes, student and faculty exchange, joint seminars, conferences, and workshops, founding joint educational and research centres, supporting students in conducting their research, etc.

The postgraduate programmes in Health Communication are going to be established and run in the Faculty of Communication Sciences. The Faculty is currently holding UNESCO's Chair in Communication of Science.
