Planned to be published late November, 2016, this translation will be unveiled on 12 December, 2016, in Madrid with the presence of translators from all over the world. At this ceremony, Dr Lucía Megías will read a part of his own translation of the book.
This translation is being published on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of the author of Don Quixote, Cervantes. At the initiative of the project team, each chapter of the 140-chapter book is translated in a different language, with 40 of the languages translating the work for the first time.
ATU is happy to announce that the eighth chapter of Book 1 of the new Don Quixote has been translated into Persian by Dr Najmeh Shobeiri, a faculty member and Head of ATU Department of Spanish.
