Professors from Egyptian Universities Visit ATU

On Tuesday, 3 February 2015, a delegation of professors of Persian Language and Literature from Egypt visited Allameh Tabatabai University (ATU) and had a meeting in the ATU Faculty of Persian Literature and Foreign Languages (PLFL). At the outset of the meeting, held with the presence of faculty members from ATU Departments of Persian Literature and Arabic Language and Literature, the Egyptian delegation introduced themselves and their universities.

Dr Iranzadeh, ATUs Vice-Dean for Education, reminding the participants of the close ties between Iran and Egypt, pointed to the importance of the two nations' linguistic and literary commonalities. Then, Dr Vaez, professor emeritus of the ATU Department of Persian Literature, having made a speech of welcome, pointed to the role of mutual scientific collaborations in the fields of research and literary translation.

The meeting was concluded with a brief introductory speech delivered by a member of ATU Directorate of International Academic Cooperation, Dr Mandana Tishehyar, expanding on the existing educational capacities, including the short-term FQI programs, sabbaticals, and online programmes.
