ATU Faculty of Economics Holds an International Seminar on “Employment Policies: India’s Economic State”
On February 17, 2015 an international seminar was convened on “Employment Policies: India’s Economic State” in ATU Faculty of Economics. At the outset of this session, Dr. Karimi, faculty member of University of Mazandaran, introduced Amit Bhaduri’s various research activities, teaching experiences, including his teaching in Cambridge University, and his important role in the implementation of the National Employment Plan in India.
Then, in his speech, Dr. Bhaduri focused on the issue of the educated young generation’s unemployment and its relationship with market mechanism in the context of India. He then pointed to the fact that an increase in the growth rate is not adequate for reducing unemployment. The meeting was concluded with discussions about (un)employment issue and a question-answer panel.
