Six Iranian Universities Sign an International MoU
Following the increasing international scientific collaborations among Iranian universities, six Iranian Universities of the IHEI Consortium sign an MoU on 6 June, 2016. The Consortium consists of Allameh Tabataba’i University, Ferdowsi University of Mashad, University of Sistan and Baluchestan, Shiraz university, Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz, and University of Kurdistan.
The purpose of this MoU was to run further courses and programs for foreign students, hold joint international workshops and conferences, publish joint publications in different languages; cooperate in collecting research budgets from international institutions, and exchange experiences in terms of cooperation with universities and institutes of various countries. The MoU was signed during the academic visit of these Universities’ presidents to Spain, in Iran’s Embassy in Madrid. Furthermore, Iranian ambassador to Spain invited a number of Spanish thinkers and scholars of Iranian studies to a dinner so that they could talk and discuss with their Iranian counterparts.
IHEI is a European-Union-Sponsored project aiming at Internationalization of Higher Education in Iran. The other members of this consortium are University of Alicante, Glascow Caledonian University of Scotland, and F.H. Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria).
