Abstract

The meaning of life of teenage girls who use drugs

Understanding the meaning of the life for teenage girls who use drugs helps to better understand the world of today's teenagers and can help the social policy maker in adapting social and cultural policies to teenagers and, accordingly, people and society today, and this finding of the meaning of Life will be an effective help in improving the social health of society. Addressing this issue in a social work research is organized in the framework of understanding the meaning of life of teenage girls in Tehran who have non-professional experience of using some kind of substances.

Methodology

Considering the qualitative methodological approach, the phenomenological method has been used and the research data has been collected with the semi-structured interview technique based on targeted samples.

Findings

By mentioning that the intervention of drug use in the meaning of girls' lives can be both prior and posterior, girls who consume more by combining individual forces based on their own diagnosis and skills and influenced by the friendship network and virtual communication create the meaning of life. . As a result, by identifying the categories of the situational purposefulness of life, the pleasantness of individual bio-choice and pessimistic individualism towards life, it is possible to introduce their ideal model in the field of the meaning of life under the title "the meaning of the present life of the individual-bio-centered".
