    چکیده

The Behdini dialect- also known as Dari- is one of the central dialects of Iran. This dialect has two varieties, Yazdi and Kermani. The mentioned dialects differ from Persian in phonemes, phonetics, phonotactics, morphology, and syntax. Although The Kermani dialect has died out, The Yazdi dialect is one of the rarely survived dialects of its ancient group. This variant is renowned as the formal dialect due to the geographical position of Yaz. It is also significant because the religious leaders- Mubadan- tend to use it. The current dissertation focused on the typology studying based on word order, alignment, and case marking in this dialect. The word order study based on Dryer ۲۴ components suggests that in comparison with Europe-Asia languages, the Behdini Yazdi dialect is a sample of strong SVO based on ۱۸ factors and a weak SOV in association with ۱۶. This study also compared the Behdini dialect with global languages. Data reveals that according to ۲۰ factors, Dari has the characteristics of strong SVO, and with coordination to ۱۶, belongs to strong SOV. Data analysis suggests that the Behdini dialect follows the split ergative alignment sensitive to tense/aspect. In present-tense sentences, the Subject is direct, and the main verb of the claus shows full agreement with it. In contrast, in past tense sentences, the Subject of transitive clauses bears no marker; therefore the agreement in the verb would be Past term or Past participle of the main verb. Therefore, a prefix bears the agreement and adds to the verb. Following the case marking question, no trace of noun case marking witnessed in the Behdini Yazd dialect.
